the after life or one life?

Hiya all,

When watching This Morning today, they had  lady on who had sadly lost her son in a tragic car accident and believed he came through to her through something called automatic spiritual writing. Where by she believes he takes her hand and writes his messages from heaven.

On the other part of the sofa we had a man who basically believed this was rubbish and believed there was a scientific answer to all things 'spiritual and paranormal'

I thought id bring it up on my blog and throw it out there, me being the nosey person i am what do you think or believe? are you a believer or none believer?

Me personally, i DO believe there is a afterlife, i believe that there are some people out there who can contact the other side, so to speak. I am by no way naive and understand that there is total con artist out there who will pray on peoples weakness's. From a young age I've been brought up in a house hold that 'belived' to the extent where, call us crazy, but my dad does have some psychic/medium ability's, he has been known to say things and get 'messages' about things that there is no way he would no ordinarily. Mom and Dad both believe and have both seen ghosts in the school they work/worked at. I was brought up watching programs on TV, most haunted  (altho i do believe that program is a load of rubbish and very staged!!)  and such like about ghost, spirts, orbs etc. Maybe this has something to do with why i totally believe, because on the other hand you have my Gareth, who does not believe one bit (well until recently!), and neither does his family, they think any talk of another life or ghosts etc is weird, and i would never preach my views on other people, im very much of the each to there own way of life. But i do believe.

A few months back i went to see a medium, it was a one to one experience and i went with a half open mind (Ive seen some bad ones in my time) this was my 1st one to one, others have been group events like seeing Sally Morgan. I wont say too much about what she said, but she blew me away. Not only did she tell me things about my family, that she could of no way 'cold read' or 'guessed' as some do, she said things about Gareth's family too, again the clique - things that there is NO WAY she would of known. She never had my full name when i booked so there was no way of her researching me at all. When i told Gareth some one the things she said, especially about his family, he too had to agree that she was bloody good!

I also believe in angels, white feathers, and guardian angels as well as cosmic ordering (thanks Lucy's mommy!!) i do believe that it helped me get in the correct mind set to pass my driving test.

This white feather landed on my car a few months back, from no where, there were no birds around and the way it floated down too, i like to think its from a guardian angel!

My tattoo of Harry's name with a feather as i do believe he is my little angel.

My Mom is a huge believer in aliens, me on the other hand i think i prefer not to believe as they scare me to be honest, Gareth DOES believe in aliens, he and mom are forever watching the sky, this was a few months back when there was a light in the sky that kept disappearing and then zooming towards and back out again (i saw it and freaked out!) they however watched it for hours like this:-

I remember one new years eve a few years ago, my mom was watching the fireworks on our front door step just after midnight and shouted 'LUCE COME QUICK, OH MY GOD!!' when i go to the door the sky was filled with lights floating around, coming towards us it seemed, only for me to burst out laughing when i realised they were Chinese lanterns coming from a nearby hotel!! Mom was gutted, she thought this was her time to meet ET!

if they look like this, i wont mind!
I personally think that if believing in something helps someone through a bad time, or makes things easier on them or makes there day or week that bit brighter then what harm is in it ?

So id love to know, whats everyone's personal views? for or against?

Have you ever had any experiences of ghosts or paranormal things happening?

Love Lucy x

  1. I believe in the after life (being a Christian) it really helps me in times of grief and not be so bloody awfully petrified of death (feat of the unknown) I do believe in spirits and ghosts I believe I've had some experiences I do believe people have a gift. I've never seen anyone because I am such a private person I just don't want people knowing my business lol freaks me out! OH has had a reading but was a group one he's still a skeptic but I think would become not one in a one to one tbh I hate shows like most haunted they are a load if crap and ruin the subject of the paranormal by taking the piss !xx

  2. Hm, difficult one. I'm not a religious person and would refer to myself as an atheist but I do believe there is some form of an afterlife. I don't think this consciousness can just...stop! I think our souls or consciousness or whatever you want to call it carry on, whether we are aware of it I don't know (maybe it's like being unconcious or asleep?) but I think a part of us still carries on long after we're gone to provide love and support to those we leave behind. Does that make sense? :S
