birthday fun and fails & round up

Hiya all,

i feel like such a bad blogger as ive not blogged in a few days. i wish i had the time and energy to i really do. for the last week Ive felt so drained, full of fatigue, racing heart and to top it off a cough that feels like a elephant is sitting on my chest :( i was at the Dr's twice and had 2 sets of blood tests, today I've finally got the answers that I've gone VERY anaemic again, and now have 2 sets of tablets to take 3 times a day to build my levels back up.

Wednesday however was my best friends birthday and there was no was i was missing it! I had been planning for weeks and as ill as i felt i dragged myself together and picked her up as i usual do on a Wednesday, her day off from work, 'catch up Wednesday!!'

Lucy is a huge Harry Potter fan, so id planned to go to pick her up with Harry dressed like this:-

Lets just say she was very shocked :) yay, mission accomplished.

My Mom made his cloak and i ordered the bits from eBay to finish off the look!

I was so pleased with how he looked, Harry loved dressing up and doing magic with his wand.

However, didn't all go to plan for birthday bonanza, i planned to make these:-

This is what i ended up with
rookie mistake of over filling!!

whoops!

Luckily, i had the very lovely handmade necklace and earrings set from the fabulous 'sweet lily sparkles' so that made up for the cooking fail. (i hope)

all in all i hope you enjoyed your bday and prezzies Luce and the fun with evie and harry!

I'm hoping il be back to my 'normal' self as soon as possible, and blogging daily over every other day again :)

Have fun what ever you do this weekend :)

Trendy Toddler Tuesday!

Hiya all,

Ive been missing from one of my favourite linkys for the past few weeks as Ive not had anything fabulous or new to show really. Harry grew suddenly and half of his clothes no longer fit and we couldn't get many new ones until hubby was paid so hes been wearing alot of the same clothes over and over.

This week i thought i would show you two lovely cardigans hes been wearing.

Firstly this lovely green chunky knit cardie. I love the colour as it goes with his new purple and orange jeans i mentioned.

I found this for £5 on sale in TkMaxx

Second one is this hand made very chunky cream cardie. I got this on eBay in summer for £6 if i remember correctly, i new it would come in handy come summer and it has!

Someone said it looks like a girls but i love it, and i think its definitely boys.

Ive got my eye on this one from Asda for £12

I do love Autumn Winter, love cardies and jumpers and cosing up ready for Halloween and bonfire night :)

Don't forget to go and check out and join in with the other trendy toddlers over at medicatedfollower

bye bye moe

Hiya all,

Its a sad day today as my 1st car has drove her last journey and gone to that big car park in the sky!

Sad times :(

When i was 16, i was only thinking of one thing - turning 17 and starting driving lessons!

The day of my 17th birthday i had my 1st driving lesson and loved it, every week i had them i put in for my theory and passed 1st time. Months and months later when i still haven't been put in for a driving test, in fact my driving instructor hadn't even mentioned my test, but was happily taking my £21 every week. I mentioned it to him, he was a 'family friend' and he said 'oh your not ready, but book one and see how you go' hmm not really the attitude a driving instructor should have, but anyway. Il fast forward, 2.5years later, 4 driving tests down, i still hadn't passed. I was heavily pregnant and gave up the lessons.

Harry was born and this spurred me on to wanting to drive even more. I couldn't hack being told i couldn't get on a bus because there was already one pushchair on there, and having to wait for the next bus. A friend of mine had just passed her driving test 1st time after 6 months of lessons. So she gave me her instructors name and i booked with him. HE WAS FAB! I cannot praise him enough, he said my old instructor, lets call him Bob, well Bob had basically not taught me a thing, just got me to drive around aimlessly all those years as he chatted about his family and his life, all the cruises he was going on and house extensions and renovations he was having done. I would of still been having lessons with bob now, and still wouldn't of passed. But my new instructor, lets call him Steve, well Steve was bloody brill, each lesson i felt like id actually learnt something. I felt like i new how to drive. Steve new bob and had said how hes heard on the grape vine how hes a lovely bloke, but a crap driving instructor. I couldn't agree more. He once phoned me, bob this is, and said 'i cant some to your lesson today Ive been up all night with the shits!!' a 'im ill' would of serviced, who needs to no those details? I had to do another theory test as they run out after 2year if you don't pass, i passed the theory and Steve said i was ready for a driving test. The day of the test we are in the waiting room of the test centre, and who walks in, you guessed it, Bob! Bob and Steve new each other and he came over and sat right next to us chatting and asking about my family etc, i could of died. Anyway, 40 Min's later I've finished my test and they are 'pleased to tell you, you have passed' i screamed, i cried, i couldn't believe it! I said to the examiner how i couldn't wait to tell my son, who was 10 months old at the time. Harry had no idea what i was on about of course, but i told him how we would be having lots of adventures!

me the day i passed! (i was happy, but this was about 11pm!)
One night about 3 weeks after i passed my test, my brother and my dad and my sister in laws dad turn up with a car!! They had brought me my 1st car.

She was perfect, a little silver fiat, tiny and cute and even better, her numberplate said 'MOE'!! She had a name, well i was in love.
yes she had eyelashes that i put on! Until they were stolen!!
Moe did me well, she was bloody small and with a pushchair, shopping and a growing toddler, it wasn't easy but i loved that car. She developed a very bad oil leak in the last few weeks, bad enough for it to cost way more to fix her than it would to buy a new car!

Well last weekend, Gareth's grandad called to say he had brought us a car from his friend. A little ford, shes very nice, different to drive, but alot more space. I am so very grateful for them doing this. Harry called her 'anne' i have no clue why? but I'm not sure Anne is going to stick as a name! Moe was fab, she felt safe and made rattly noises, but that was her, i would talk to her like she was a bloody human, like when we had left her on the train station car park and got back late and she was on her own there me and Gareth both was talking like she was a child 'aww don't worry Moe, were here now, don't be sad' why i do this to myself and get attached and give things a personality, i have no idea! I no Anne will grow to be just the same I'm sure, she just doesn't feel 'mine' yet. Anne has her own story with her old owner, they were a elderly couple who used her to go on holiday to Scotland and for hospital appointments, but sadly the wife died and when this happened the husband got poorly and can no longer walk or drive and he said it was too painful to see her sitting there. He wanted to make sure she went to a good home, i can assure him she has, she will have many adventures with us.

But i wont be forgetting Moe. (sob sob! blame hormones!!) Today my Dad drove her for the final time to the scrap yard that his friend owns, and she was, well we all no what goes on, she was turned into a tiny square of metal and will be used for more cars or car parts or as Gareth likes to think hes funny and joke 'baked bean cans' i feel sick at the thought!

Do you remember your 1st car? what was it?
Does your car have a name and personality? or is it just me who's crazy!

Bye Bye Moe - Hello Anne

Dear beautiful 2 and a half year old bobo . . .

Dear beautiful bobo,

You are now 2 and a half years old! These past 30 months have been amazing, and all down to you.

We have been through a lot of things and lots of fun times.

As I write this baby boy, I feel rather poorly, and when you cover me with you blanky it don't half make me smile. Mommy's heart is a bit poorly, your cuddles and kisses make it feel so much better. But that's why I can't run about that much with you, but boy your daddy more than makes up for what mommy lacks on the energetic front.

You love dancing, with daddy especially! You have your own signature moves that make us laugh and laugh.

'Help' is one of your new words, thanks to your favourite - fireman Sam! You pretend to be stuck behind furniture and shout 'help' and ask us to call the 'nee naw' to save you. Your vocabulary is coming along so nicely and your surprising us daily.

'iya' - your name for Evie & Jessica your now 5yr old cousins- love playing with you, even Evie who you like to pick up from school and take her lunch bag to see what she's eaten!

Jess has just gone 5! She is soo loving towards you and mothers you a lot, she is a crazy little lady who loves to tell you about her horse, and how she loves riding him 'can Harry come ride my horse when he's older'

Sammy your big cousin is doing very well with her job!! And finally after 2 and a half yrs your starting to not be scared of her, even posing for pictures with her.

Emily is going to be a nurse! While mom and dad when to the paralympics to see all the amazing athletes, you had a fab time with her painting lots of pictures for me! She is studying sooo hard and were really proud.

As is Bridie, she's finished school and is now at college, what a mighty fine midwife she will make when she's finished, she's fab, growing up so fast, and into such an amazing person!

Every night you go to bed at 7pm, in fact you ask to go, you kiss everyone good night and take your manky blankie to your own little special room that grandad built for you, in there you have your 'nee naw' bed, and some cuddleys to watch over you, we say 'night baby boy, love you' and you reply with 'hon hu mom' I'm taking that as love you mom! Don't tell me other wise else I will cry :)

Daddys gone through some tough times but you my boy have been his saviour! You have seen him through his dark days.

Some of Daddys family are a little 'naughty' to put it politely, and your cousin loyd will turn 2 on Saturday, you have only seen him twice in your life, he has a new sister lexxi who none of us have ever met, she will be nearly 2 months old now. We have seen her thanks to a 'facebook' picture! They (there parents, your dads brother and his gf) don't like your mommy and daddy, and the casualties of this are you and your cousins, but I have pictures of them to show you when your older, you will always no about them.

Your dads dad, your granddad has broken his foot and is in a cast. Your grandad who lives here with us (or should that be who we live here with) has been off fishing for a week, he cherishes you, you are definitely his golden boy, or 'our favourite grandson' as he and nanny Bren like to joke! (They only have you and 5 granddaughters!!) he likes to teach you about DIY, fishing, cow boy films, horses and all thoses things, even at the age of 2.5yrs!

yes you with grandads drill! grandad has a very 'didnt do me any harm' attitude towards health and safty bless him! (battery was off if anyone wonders)
Uncle mickey brought you your 1st bike, he turned up with your fireman sam bike out of the blue for you a few months back, and don't you just love it, shame its just a tiny bit big for you, but you will grow into it and be riding around like the best! You give it a good go now!

You have a new found obsession with tattoos! I blame daddy, and uncle mickey! you went to your friends party and sat ever so well and had a glitter 'tattoo' which was a cement truck, you kept calling it 'your bob' as in bob the builder, your other massive love! You can spot a bob figure from 10 paces.
You now have the team gb lion on your arm, do you think we can remove it? No matter how hard we try you fight us. You like to compare tattoos!

Fairy godmother lucy is turning the big 23 next week, she don't half adore you, and you here! She's amazing, and now you have knocked calling her dee on the head a little (not fully, there's still the odd 'deeee') but you said lucy as clear as anything! You love when she reads you books.

I wish you would eat beautiful boy, you do worry me when you say no to everything we offer you or put on your plate, as a baby you ate everything in reach, now its like someone stole your appetite :( I'm assured it will be back soon.

Speaking of soon 'see you soon' is your new phrase, you came out with that today when waving auntie Mandy and Evie off at the door step. Your ever so funny.

Counting from one to ten and then back from ten to 1 is a skill you have had for a few months, boy it doesn't half make me a proud mommy. You can recognise all your numbers 1 to 10 on paper and name them all. You no the colour blue, shapes (you no star) and colours are your next thing to master I'm sure.

You do jigsaws all by yourself, and the farmer in one of them you say its grandad!

You also call this man grandad when we drive past! Slightly worrying, but none the less hilarious.
Your 3rd Christmas is fast approaching, and mom and dad have 99% of your items to send to Santa and his elves to bring back Christmas day. We will be taking you to see Santa again this year, before the big day, please don't do this again:-

Potty training is going very well, you will do wee wees on the potty no problem, its the poops you won't do, you will tell us when you need one and when you have done one in your nappy, but somehow your fear of pooing on the potty stops you from doing it there.

Babies babies babies, when ever you see one no matter where you are, you will shout 'baba' and 'awwww' them, even if sometimes they are bigger/older than you! You have a baby doll, he's called Tommy (he was Mommy's! I named him years ago) you like to love him and look after him. The other day over at Jessica's party, you were asked 'would you like a baby brother or sister?' You said 'yes' uncle mickey said 'NO! Don't get any ideas'. Sorry Harry, but Tommy's the only baby we will be having in this house, no more babies for mom and dad, you are all we ever want and need!

So as you snooze tonight in your fireman Sam pjs, I'll go to sleep thinking about all the adventures, ups, downs and milestones we have in store for the next 6 months between now and your 3rd birthday!

We love you so very much bobo. We are sooo proud to be your parents.

Love mommy & daddy bear x

My pocket buddy - Review

Hiya all,

Cleanliness is next to godliness as they say.

When i was asked to review the newest in personal hand sanitisers on the market i new i couldn't turn it down. Ive always got a packet of wipes in my bag when were out, ready for any accidents or for a quick wipe of my hands or Harry's but that's not always going to kill the germs effectively as ive found out.

My pocket buddy not only kills 99.9% of germs, but comes in a nifty little 8ml spray pen, so it can be used anywhere without lugging round a big pack of wipes or big bottle of sanitising gel where ever you go.
With having a child/baby cleanliness is key, be it after making them food or drink or changing there nappies. Not to mention little toddler fingers that want to touch everything in sight! You don't want anyone catching any horrible germs.

My pocket buddy is also alcohol free and made from 100% natural ingredients, it’s effective in seconds, helping reduce germs, bacteria, viruses and fungi on the skin. There are no chemical nasties in any of there products which is also a huge bonus.

Harrys at the age where he wants to do everything himself, with this it was no problem, so after a nappy change we all got a little spray of our hands by Harry, even nanny who was just sitting there, Harry thought, you can never be too careful!!.

I no my niece will love this product when she sees it and my sister too, with working in a school with children, germs are everywhere, its enevitable, but with this being so small and descreat, she would be able to use it without causing too much fuss.

My pocket buddy is available online at a baragin price of £0.96 - you really cant go wrong with it.

Me and Harry will be stocking up :)

Jessica Mary

Hiya all,

Today this little princess turns 5!

Im getting quite emotional writing this, Jessica is the much longed for 2nd child of my Brother and Sister-in-law. They have one daughter Bridie, then there was an 11yr gap and much heart ache before this little beautiful girl came along out of the blue and surprised us :)

She couldnt wait to show her beautiful face and was 2 weeks early, i rememeber the day like it was yesterday.

She was born at 5 in the afternoon and we all rushed to the hospital onto the delivery ward and filled the place, no one could wait to see her. Walking into that room, this tiny little bundle in the cot, just filled everyones life with happiness.

5 years on, she is a amazing, funny, fun loving, full of energy, cheeky, clever, loving little girl. She loves horses, minnie mouse, hello kitty and watching the goonies!!

Some people have said since she was born that she looks like me, her mom and dad think so too from pictures when i was young, i cant see it myself, but i do no i love her to death!

Today shes at school all day and then later we will see her and have a little tea party at her house :)

Love you lots Jessica Mary
